Outstanding Scholarship Program

Purpose:  To recognize chapters whose scholarship program has innovative ideas, recognizes and rewards student academic success within the chapter, and works to improve the grades of the chapter members falling below the chapter's requirements.  One chapter will be chosen from the Greek Community, if organizations meet the eligibility.

The 2008 chapter recipient, Sigma Kappa,has demonstrated a devotion to scholarship through innovative and unique ideas. The chapter has recognized the importance of faculty by coordinating a Professor Appreciation Banquet. Additionally, each week the scholarship chair gives the chapter a study tip and weekly challenge that the members are encouraged to engage in and try out. Throughout the semester, members are encouraged to keep academics a priority with a mid-term party and finals week study breaker.
