Greek Man & Woman of the Year
Purpose: To recognize individuals who are a positive representation of their chapter and/or the Greek Community and who have excelled in the areas of community service/philanthropy, Greek involvement, and academics. One male and one female recipient will be selected from the Greek Community.

The 2008 Greek Woman of the Year, Erin Carlin (Chi Omega), is a woman that has what it takes to be successful in both her personal and professional life. Her academic achievements have been outstanding, her leadership positions in Greek Life have been unmatchable, and her leadership and involvement outside of Greek Life, have been nothing short of impressive. In her leadership positions, she has certainly given more than she’s received, from comforting freshmen in their first few terrifying days here, to being a Rho Gamma in recruitment, and then providing campus with engaging activities.
The 2008 Greek Man of the Year, Brinkman Murray (Alpha Tau Omega),has been cited as an example for other students by several of his nominators. His outstanding character, devotion, moral values and academic achievement set him apart. This man has held a considerable amount of positions in his own chapter, in addition to many extracurricular activities, and for a while, balancing a varsity sport. When he graduates this spring, he will leave immense shoes to fill, both in his chapter and in the greater Greek Community.
Greek Scholar of the Year
Purpose: To recognize the graduating senior with the highest cumulative GPA.
The 2008 Greek Scholar, Charles Reynolds (Lambda Chi Alpha), found a desirable balance between academics and being social. He has demonstrated true scholarly behavior despite having a more difficult and time consuming major.
